1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using distl ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

distl is a content tracking and discovery platform that allows you to log, rate, and review movies, TV shows, music, books, games, anime, manga, comics, podcasts, and audiobooks. The Service provides personalized recommendations based on taste compatibility with other users.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account

4. User Content

You retain ownership of reviews and content you submit. By posting content, you grant distl a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the Service. Reviews must be your own original work and must not contain hate speech, harassment, or illegal content.

5. Prohibited Conduct

  • Scraping or automated access to the Service
  • Impersonating other users or entities
  • Manipulating ratings or reviews
  • Circumventing security measures
  • Using the Service for any illegal purpose

6. Intellectual Property

The distl name, logo, and application design are the property of distl. Content metadata (titles, posters, descriptions) is sourced from third-party providers (TMDB, IGDB, AniList, etc.) and remains the property of their respective owners.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of recommendations or taste compatibility scores.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, distl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
